About the role

Join Barclays’ 10-week Compliance Analyst Summer Internship in Glasgow, gaining hands-on experience supporting compliance risk management across products, services, businesses, and functions. You will research, analyse data, monitor risks, advise stakeholders, support controls, and develop insight into regulation, financial crime, conduct, and the bank’s broader operations.

Responsibilities

• Guide business adherence to the Compliance risk management framework.
• Advise colleagues on regulations relating to specific products and services.
• Use data and analytics to monitor and influence the compliance risk landscape.
• Develop insight into laws, rules, regulations, financial crime, and conduct.
• Support stakeholder training and communicate complex or sensitive information clearly.
• Escalate policy breaches, strengthen controls, and embed risk-mitigation procedures.

Eligibility and Work Authorisation

• Applicants must be in their penultimate university year and graduating in 2028.
• A genuine passion for Compliance and an enthusiastic mindset are required.
• Barclays accepts applicants requiring UK skilled worker visa sponsorship, subject to eligibility criteria.
• Applicants without sponsorship eligibility need full-time UK work rights from June to August 2027.

Location and Programme Experience

• The internship is based at Barclays’ campus in Glasgow, with hybrid working opportunities.
• Interns receive full support while working on meaningful, real-world projects.
• The Glasgow campus offers collaborative spaces, technology, colleague clubs, events, and other activities.
• A successful graduate return offer will be based in the same location as the internship.
