About the role
A 10-week Human Resources internship in Barclays’ Glasgow team, offering hands-on experience across recruiting, colleague experience, inclusion, reward, policy, data insights and employee lifecycle activity. Interns support research, HR insights, business initiatives and services while building relationships across the global HR function. The programme runs June to August 2027.
Responsibilities
- Conduct small research projects, prepare presentations and reports, and help implement findings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and HR services.
- Identify opportunities, develop business cases, and support new HR products and services.
- Develop HR insights, colleague journeys, services and measures across the function.
- Support financial models and strategies that inform Human Resources decision-making.
- Provide relationship and customer-service support, including responding to queries and resolving complaints.
Programme and eligibility
- The internship lasts 10 weeks and is based in Barclays’ Glasgow campus.
- Interns participate in training and development programmes to build skills and knowledge.
- Successful interns may be considered for Barclays’ 2028 graduate programme during the internship.
- A return graduate offer would be based in the same location as the internship.
- Barclays does not provide visa sponsorship for this internship or the associated graduate programme.
