About the role

Join Barclays’ UK Corporate Banking Graduate Programme in London, supporting medium and large corporate clients with banking, financing and advisory needs. You will build foundational banking knowledge, develop relationship and technical skills, contribute to research and business initiatives, and work across divisions toward future Relationship Director or technical expert roles.

Responsibilities

  • Support client relationships and customer service, answering product and service questions and processing transactions.
  • Conduct research projects supporting strategic decision-making in UK Corporate Banking.
  • Prepare presentations and reports communicating research findings.
  • Collaborate with senior management and cross-functional teams on business initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities and develop business cases for new products and services.
  • Support the deployment and launch of new products and services.

Team and Client Exposure

  • Work with sector and regional specialists supporting corporate clients across the UK.
  • Engage with various banking divisions to develop skills required for corporate banking.
  • Support clients ranging from £6.5 million annual turnover to FTSE 350 firms.
  • Address needs spanning everyday banking, corporate financing, mergers and acquisitions, and ESG planning.

Training and Development

  • Gain foundational knowledge of a bank’s role in the UK economy.
  • Develop relationship and technical skills for a corporate banking career.
  • Participate in training and development programmes to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Receive training and support throughout the graduate programme.

Requirements

  • Have a degree or expected degree in any subject.
  • Demonstrate motivation, curiosity and interest in the UK corporate marketplace.
  • Show analytical ability and experience translating data.
  • Communicate effectively and demonstrate resourcefulness, teamwork and enthusiasm.
  • An entrepreneurial spirit may be demonstrated through extracurricular activities.
  • Visa sponsorship is available if Home Office skilled-worker eligibility criteria are met.
