About the role

Join Barclays’ UK Corporate Banking Graduate Programme in Leeds, supporting medium and large corporate clients with banking, financing and advisory needs. Build foundational banking, relationship and technical skills through training, client support, research, presentations and cross-functional work, with exposure to complex transactions and opportunities to develop new products and services.

Responsibilities

  • Support client relationships and customer service, answer product and service questions, and process transactions with decreasing supervision.
  • Conduct research projects supporting strategic decisions; prepare presentations and reports communicating findings.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on business initiatives and support client-focused decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities, develop business cases, and support the deployment and launch of new products and services.
  • Assist clients with everyday banking, corporate financing, mergers, acquisitions and environmental, social and governance planning.

Training and development

  • Gain foundational knowledge of banking’s role in the UK economy and develop relationship and technical skills.
  • Participate in training and development programmes to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Engage with various banking divisions and build capabilities for future relationship or technical specialist roles.

Requirements

  • Have a degree or expected degree in any subject.
  • Be motivated and curious about developing a banking career.
  • Ideally, demonstrate interest in the UK corporate marketplace, analytical skills and experience translating data.
  • Be a good communicator with resourcefulness, teamwork, enthusiasm and an entrepreneurial spirit.

Work eligibility

  • Barclays accepts applicants requiring UK visa sponsorship, subject to Home Office skilled worker visa eligibility.
  • Applicants unable to receive sponsorship must have full-time UK work rights from August 2027 to August 2029.
