About the role

Join Barclays’ UK Corporate Banking Graduate Programme in Birmingham, supporting medium and large corporate clients with relationship management, research, presentations, transactions, financing solutions, and new products. You will build banking, relationship, and technical skills through training and experience across banking divisions, contributing to client-focused decisions and strategic initiatives.

Role and responsibilities

• Manage client relationships, provide customer service, answer product and service questions, and process transactions.
• Conduct research projects supporting strategic decisions, then prepare presentations and reports communicating findings.
• Collaborate with senior management and cross-functional teams on business initiatives and research implementation.
• Identify opportunities, develop business cases, and support the launch of new products and services.
• Provide insights that support client-focused decisions, product development, and identification of market opportunities.
• Manage risk, strengthen controls, escalate policy or procedure breaches, and follow relevant regulations and codes of conduct.

Programme and team

• Support UK corporate clients, from businesses turning over £6.5 million annually to FTSE 350 firms.
• Build foundational banking knowledge, relationship skills, and technical expertise through training and development programmes.
• Gain experience across banking divisions while supporting everyday banking, corporate financing, mergers and acquisitions, and ESG-related client needs.
• Work with sector and regional specialists delivering financing solutions, data-driven insights, and broader banking capabilities.

Location and work eligibility

• The programme is based at Barclays Snowhill in Birmingham, with transport links to Grand Central and Snowhill stations.
• Visa sponsorship may be available where applicants meet Home Office skilled worker visa eligibility criteria.
• Applicants without qualifying sponsorship must have their own full-time UK work authorisation from August 2027 to August 2029.
