About the role
A 10-week International Corporate Banking summer internship in Dublin for students entering their penultimate university year. You will support client relationships, lending, trade finance and cash management solutions while developing financial modelling, credit analysis, treasury product and deal execution skills alongside experienced bankers.
Responsibilities
- Support client relationships, queries, onboarding and proposals for cash management, trade finance and lending solutions.
- Help identify and manage opportunities within Global Treasury Coverage and International Corporate Banking products.
- Prepare meeting materials, research sector themes and collaborate with Investment Bank teams.
- Support end-to-end deal execution, including credit analysis, financial modelling, committees and debt facility documentation.
- Identify new product opportunities, contribute to business cases and support sustainability- and growth-aligned initiatives.
- Embed risk controls, follow policies and escalate breaches appropriately.
Programme and Team
- Work in a supportive, collaborative and fast-paced International Corporate Banking division serving global clients.
- Learn about lending, trade finance, cash management, liquidity, digital banking and hedging solutions.
- Participate in structured learning covering credit skills, client management and treasury coverage products.
- Receive mentorship and feedback while learning from senior bankers and experienced colleagues.
Requirements
- Be in the penultimate year of a degree in any discipline.
- Demonstrate an interest in finance and business.
- Resourcefulness, teamwork, enthusiasm and an entrepreneurial spirit are valued, including through extracurricular activities.
Location and Progression
- The role is based at Barclays’ One Molesworth Street office in Dublin city centre.
- Successful graduate programme candidates retain the same base location as their internship.
