About the role

Join Barclays’ International Corporate Banking team in Paris for a three-to-six-month off-cycle internship. Support client relationships, lending, trade finance, cash management and treasury solutions while developing financial modelling, credit analysis, deal execution and client-management skills. You will work with senior bankers and contribute to sustainable growth initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Support Relationship Team client queries, onboarding and proposals for cash management, trade finance and lending solutions.
  • Work with senior bankers to identify and manage Global Treasury Coverage opportunities.
  • Prepare meeting materials, research sector themes and collaborate with Investment Bank teams.
  • Support end-to-end deal processes, including credit analysis, financial modelling, committees and debt-facility documentation.
  • Identify product and service opportunities, develop business cases and assist sustainability-aligned initiatives.
  • Embed risk controls, follow policies and escalate breaches appropriately.

Programme and Team

  • Gain exposure to lending, trade finance, cash management, liquidity, digital banking and hedging solutions.
  • Interact with global clients, support deals and learn from experienced senior bankers.
  • The Paris office provides integrated investment banking coverage for local and global clients.
  • The programme offers insight into potential progression to a graduate scheme.

Training and Expectations

  • Participate in structured learning covering credit skills, client management and treasury coverage products.
  • Develop knowledge of financial modelling, CIB products, FX, DCM and Barclaycard solutions.
  • Deliver assigned work accurately, follow procedures and maintain appropriate risk and control standards.
  • Provide transactional support and customer service while escalating policy breaches when required.
