About the role

This Frankfurt off-cycle internship provides 3–6-month experience in International Corporate Banking, supporting client relationships, lending, cash management, trade finance, treasury solutions, and deal execution. Interns receive training in financial modelling, credit, products, and client management while working with senior bankers and global clients.

Responsibilities

  • Support relationship teams with client queries, onboarding, and proposals for cash management, trade finance, and lending solutions.
  • Help identify and manage opportunities involving International Corporate Banking products and services within Global Treasury Coverage.
  • Prepare meeting materials, research sector themes, and collaborate with teams across the Investment Bank.
  • Support credit analysis, financial modelling, internal committees, and documentation for debt facilities and treasury solutions.
  • Identify new product opportunities, contribute to business cases, and support initiatives aligned with sustainability and growth objectives.
  • Embed risk controls, follow relevant policies, and escalate policy or procedure breaches appropriately.

Programme and Team

  • Work in a supportive, collaborative, fast-paced division while interacting with global clients and senior bankers.
  • Gain exposure to lending, trade finance, cash management, liquidity, digital banking, and hedging solutions.
  • Develop understanding of end-to-end deal execution and soft client management skills through practical experience.
  • Participate in structured learning covering credit skills, client management, and treasury coverage products.
  • Receive mentorship and feedback while contributing to client relationship management and business development.

Requirements

  • Be in the penultimate or final year of a degree in any discipline.
  • Demonstrate fluency in English and German.
  • Show interest in business and finance, alongside curiosity and willingness to learn.
  • Resourcefulness, teamwork, enthusiasm, and an entrepreneurial spirit are valued.
  • Extracurricular involvement may demonstrate relevant personal qualities and interests.
