International Corporate Banking Analyst Summer Internship Program 2027 New York City

About the role

A 10-week summer internship in Barclays’ International Corporate Bank for students entering their penultimate university year. You will support global client relationships, lending and transaction opportunities, research, product initiatives, and strategic decisions while developing credit, corporate banking, financial modelling, and client management skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research projects, prepare presentations and reports, and support strategic decision-making.
• Assist with relationship loans, cash management requests for proposals, trade finance facilities, and other transactions.
• Interact with global clients, support deals, and provide product and transaction-related customer service.
• Identify opportunities, develop business cases, and support new product and service launches.
• Help develop and implement financial models and strategies supporting International Corporate Banking decisions.
• Collaborate with senior bankers and cross-functional teams on business initiatives and client solutions.

Program and training

• Receive guidance from a mentor and line manager while taking on immediate project responsibility.
• Build knowledge of credit skills, corporate and investment banking products, and client solutions.
• Gain exposure to foreign exchange, debt capital markets, Barclaycard, lending, trade finance, and cash management.
• Develop understanding of end-to-end deal execution, sustainability considerations, and client management skills.
• Participate in training and development programs throughout the internship.

Requirements

• Be pursuing an undergraduate degree with a target graduation date within one year after the internship concludes.
• Demonstrate interest in finance and business, proactive communication, resourcefulness, teamwork, and enthusiasm.
• Extracurricular involvement may demonstrate entrepreneurial spirit and relevant qualities.
• Be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States.
• Applicants using OPT or CPT must complete all required documentation independently.
• Barclays does not sponsor visas except under stated STEM-degree eligibility conditions.
