Global Transaction Banking Summer Internship Programme 2027 Dublin

About the role

Join Barclays’ 10-week Global Transaction Banking Summer Internship in Dublin during summer 2027. You will explore payment products, corporate banking and end-to-end product management, contribute to research and new solutions, and collaborate with technology, operations, legal, compliance and relationship-management teams. The programme is intended for students in their penultimate university year.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Transaction Banking activities, providing insights that support decisions, products, services and market opportunities.
• Execute research projects, prepare presentations and reports, and help apply findings to Transaction Banking.
• Support payment-solution development for global companies, including end-to-end product management and risk controls.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to support business initiatives and product development.
• Identify opportunities, develop business cases, and support deployment and launch of new products and services.
• Support client relationships, answer product questions and process transactions under decreasing supervision.

Programme and Development

• Receive guidance from a mentor and line manager while taking on immediate responsibility through real projects.
• Participate in training and development programmes designed to enhance skills and business knowledge.
• Work with colleagues across Investment Banking, Corporate Banking, sales, operations, technology, compliance and legal.
• Gain exposure to clients including corporates, financial institutions and small and medium-sized enterprises.
• The Dublin placement is based at Barclays’ One Molesworth Street office.
