About the role
A 3–6-month Off-Cycle Internship in Barclays’ Paris Investment Banking team, offering exposure to live deals, client pitches, financial advisory, capital raising, financing and risk management. Interns support analysis, modelling, valuation, research and client materials while gaining insight into the work and culture of a full-time Analyst.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate on live deals and client pitches, supporting advice for corporate clients and structured solutions.
- Perform financial analysis, modelling, valuation, industry research and client due diligence.
- Develop written materials, including offering memoranda and new business presentations.
- Support cross-functional teams and contribute to investment banking business initiatives.
- Develop and implement financial models and strategies supporting investment banking decisions.
- Manage client relationships, answer product and service questions, and process transactions under decreasing supervision.
Programme Experience
- Gain broad exposure to different clients, transactions and specialist areas within Investment Banking.
- Work alongside experts and expand exposure across sectors, products and the wider Investment Bank.
- Participate in training and development programmes, with support and networking opportunities throughout the internship.
Role Expectations
- Execute assigned tasks accurately, following defined processes, procedures, rules and instructions.
- Identify policy breaches and escalate issues as required, while maintaining relevant controls and managing work-related risk.
- Provide customer service and administrative support to stakeholders, including transaction processing activities.
- There are no people leadership responsibilities at this grade.
