Banking Associate Summer Internship Program 2027 New York

About the role

Ten-week New York summer internship for MBA students graduating between December 2027 and June 2028. You will join an Investment Banking team, work on live deals and client pitches, build financial models, support valuation and industry research, and develop transaction-execution skills through mentorship, training, and hands-on responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Work with industry, product, or geographic teams on live deals, deal proposals, and client pitches.
• Conduct financial analysis and modelling, valuation, industry research, and client due diligence.
• Prepare offering memoranda, new business presentations, and other written transaction materials.
• Support advice on mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, structured solutions, and risk management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on business initiatives, business cases, products, and services.
• Develop financial models and strategies while supporting client relationships and transaction-related questions.

Program Details

• Participate in a ten-week summer program based at Barclays’ Americas Headquarters in New York.
• Receive immediate responsibility, supported by a mentor and line manager throughout the internship.
• Take part in training and development programs focused on investment banking skills and transaction execution.

Work Environment

• Work with a broad range of corporate clients and Investment Banking teams across specialist areas.
• Collaborate with colleagues and communicate complex information to influence stakeholders and achieve outcomes.
• Contribute to risk mitigation, controls, governance, and responsible execution of assigned work.
