About the role
The 8–10-week Chicago summer internship places MBA candidates in Investment Banking teams, where they support live deals, pitches, financial analysis, valuation, research, due diligence, and client materials. Interns receive mentoring, training, and exposure to transactions, corporate clients, capital raising, mergers and acquisitions, structured solutions, and risk management.
Role and Responsibilities
- Support live deals and deal proposals within industry, product, or geographic groups.
- Conduct financial analysis and modelling, valuation, industry research, and client due diligence.
- Develop offering memoranda and new business presentations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support client advisory solutions.
- Participate in training and development with mentor and line manager guidance.
- Support business initiatives, client relationships, and transaction processing under supervision.
Program Details
- Work with Investment Banking teams advising corporate clients on strategic questions and transactions.
- Gain exposure to mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, structured solutions, and risk management.
- Take on immediate responsibility while learning transaction execution from experienced professionals.
- Develop financial models and strategies that support Investment Banking decision-making.
- Manage risk and strengthen controls in relation to assigned work.
- Communicate complex information and collaborate with stakeholders across business areas.
Candidate Profile
- Pursue an MBA degree and graduate between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Demonstrate an interest in business and finance and a curiosity to learn.
- Show resourcefulness, teamwork, enthusiasm, and an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Extracurricular activities may demonstrate relevant personal qualities and capabilities.
- A GPA of 3.2 or above is preferred.
