About the role
The Barclays Banking Associate Graduate Program in New York offers MBA candidates intensive initial training before joining an investment banking industry, product, or geographic group. Associates work on live deals and business development, supporting financial analysis, modelling, valuation, research, strategic assessment, client pitches, and structured solutions for corporate clients.
Role and Responsibilities
- Collaborate on live deals and client pitches, advising corporate clients on holistic, structured solutions.
- Perform financial analysis, modelling, valuation, industry research, business evaluation, and strategic assessment.
- Support business development, idea generation, cross-functional initiatives, and new product or service opportunities.
- Manage client relationships and respond to questions about products, services, and transactions with decreasing supervision.
- Develop financial models and strategies that support investment banking decision-making.
- Manage risk, strengthen controls, and communicate complex information to internal and external stakeholders.
Training and Development
- Complete several weeks of intensive training before joining an industry, product, or geographic group.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance professional skills and investment banking knowledge.
- Work in small deal teams on live transactions and business development projects from the outset.
- Understand how businesses operate and learn from experienced industry professionals.
Location and Other Details
- Work at Barclays’ Americas Headquarters, 745 Seventh Avenue, in Times Square, Manhattan.
- The role is regulated by FINRA.
- The position includes a base salary of $175,000; other compensation and benefits are not specified.
