About the role
Join Barclays’ New York investment banking graduate program, supporting live deals, client pitches, financial analysis, valuation, modelling, research, and strategic assessments. After several weeks of intensive training, you will join an industry, product, or geographic group, gain exposure to diverse transactions, and help advise corporate clients on strategic and financing objectives.
Role and Responsibilities
- Support live deals, client pitches, and advisory work for a broad range of corporate clients.
- Develop financial models and strategies supporting investment banking decision-making and client objectives.
- Conduct financial analysis, valuation, industry research, business evaluation, and strategic assessments.
- Identify opportunities, develop business cases, and support new investment banking products and services.
- Manage client relationships, answer product and service questions, and process transactions with decreasing supervision.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on business initiatives and communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
Training and Development
- Complete several weeks of intensive training at the start of the program.
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance relevant skills and knowledge.
- Join an industry, product, or geographic group after initial training and begin working on live assignments.
Requirements and Eligibility
- Applicants must be in their final year of an undergraduate degree program.
- Motivation, curiosity, and a keen interest in business and finance are required.
- Resourcefulness, teamwork, enthusiasm, and an entrepreneurial spirit are valued.
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States.
- Applicants are responsible for completing required OPT or CPT documentation, where applicable.
Location and Compensation
- The role is based at Barclays’ Americas Headquarters, 745 Seventh Avenue, New York City.
- The listed salary is $110,000 base salary.
- The stated salary excludes any other compensation or benefits that may be available.
Compliance and Work Authorization
- The role is regulated by FINRA.
- Barclays does not provide financial assistance or execute OPT or CPT documents beyond employment verification.
- Barclays generally will not sponsor employment-based visas, subject to stated STEM degree and STEM OPT conditions.
