About the role

This 10-week London internship supports Barclays’ Public Policy and Corporate Responsibility division. Interns contribute to research, strategic decision-making, stakeholder engagement, presentations and reports, while developing understanding of public policy, reputation, sustainability and responsible business. The programme is designed for penultimate-year university students graduating in 2028.

Programme

  • Based in London, supporting Barclays’ Public Policy and Corporate Responsibility division.
  • Build understanding of public policy, reputation, sustainability, citizenship and stakeholder engagement.
  • Contribute to activity supporting customers, colleagues and communities.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct small research projects supporting strategic decision-making.
  • Prepare presentations and reports communicating research findings.
  • Collaborate with senior management and cross-functional teams to implement research findings and support business initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities, develop business cases, and support new product and service launches.
  • Contribute to financial models and strategies supporting decision-making.
  • Support stakeholder and client relationships, responding to questions about relevant products and services.

Eligibility and Work Authorisation

  • Applicants must be in their penultimate year of university and graduate in 2028.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills are required.
  • Curiosity about public policy, corporate responsibility and stakeholder engagement is expected.
  • Barclays accepts applicants requiring UK visa sponsorship, subject to Skilled Worker visa eligibility.
