About the role
A 10-week Finance Analyst Summer Internship in London, offering penultimate-year students hands-on experience across financial control, reporting, forecasting, Treasury, product control and analysis. Interns support decision-making through profit-and-loss analysis, reporting, financial models and data insights while developing finance expertise, stakeholder relationships and professional skills.
Role and Finance Team
- Support the Finance division with insights and expertise that help senior colleagues make informed decisions.
- Finance oversees financial control, reporting, forecasting, Treasury, product control, budgets and management information.
- Use financial data and analysis to support strategy, business improvements and conversations with senior leaders.
Responsibilities
- Analyze daily profit and loss for business units, researching performance impacts, trends and insights.
- Compile regular reports, scorecards and presentations based on analysis for senior management.
- Use workforce, portfolio and other data to derive financial information supporting key decisions.
- Assist with developing and implementing financial models and strategies that support decision-making.
- Participate in calls and meetings with fiscal stakeholders.
- Take part in training and development activities to enhance finance skills and knowledge.
Internship Experience
- Spend 10 weeks working on real projects and gaining hands-on experience in the Finance division.
- Take on meaningful responsibilities, receive support and build professional connections during the internship.
- The role is based in Barclays’ London hub in Canary Wharf.
