About the role

Join Barclays’ 10-week London Summer Internship in Private Bank and Wealth Management during summer 2027. You will work with experienced Private Bankers, support high-net-worth client solutions, contribute to research and business initiatives, and develop financial, analytical, relationship-management, and communication skills through mentorship and training.

Responsibilities

• Perform financial analysis of potential clients and support credit and onboarding due diligence.
• Prepare presentations, memoranda, reports, and research findings for existing and prospective clients.
• Attend client meetings with experienced bankers and support client relationship management and service activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on business initiatives, strategic decisions, and new product opportunities.
• Develop financial models and strategies supporting decision-making in private banking and wealth management.
• Build relationships across Barclays while working with high-net-worth clients and their advisors.

Programme experience

• Receive immediate responsibility on real projects within a selected business area.
• Work closely with experienced Private Bankers to assess client needs and formulate appropriate solutions.
• Participate in training and development programmes to enhance relevant skills and knowledge.
• Receive guidance from a mentor and line manager throughout the internship.

Eligibility and work authorisation

• Barclays accepts applications requiring UK visa sponsorship, subject to Skilled Worker visa eligibility criteria.
• Applicants unable to receive sponsorship must have full-time UK work rights from June through August 2027.
