Join Barclays’ 2027 Technology Developer Graduate Program in Wilmington, Delaware, where you’ll design, develop, and improve software supporting banking platforms, customers, and colleagues. The 1–2-year Expert Program combines job-based bespoke training with hands-on experience, collaboration across technology teams, and opportunities to build specialist technical expertise.
Program
- Join a 1–2-year targeted Expert Program designed to provide depth and breadth of experience.
- Receive bespoke, job-based training from the start to develop specialist technical expertise.
- Work within Technology, supporting digital infrastructure, critical data, transactions, customers, and colleagues.
- Engage with machine learning, generative AI, FinTech, and financial technology development.
Responsibilities
- Develop scalable, maintainable, and high-performing software using industry-aligned languages, frameworks, and tools.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to define requirements and solution strategies.
- Participate in code reviews and promote code quality, knowledge sharing, and effective unit testing.
- Apply secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities and protect sensitive data.
- Integrate software solutions with business objectives and technology requirements.
Working Expectations
- Build technical expertise, analyze factual information, and resolve problems using acquired experience and established precedents.
- Partner with other functions and business areas while communicating complex or sensitive information clearly.
- Take ownership of risks, controls, policies, procedures, regulations, and applicable codes of conduct.
- Deliver work to a high standard, support continuous improvement, and contribute to team outcomes.
Eligibility and Application
- The role is based at Barclays’ Wilmington, Delaware campus.
- Visa sponsorship is unavailable unless the individual meets the stated U.S. STEM degree and STEM OPT conditions.
