Program
- Join the 1–2-year Expert Program, designed to provide targeted experience and specialist technical development.
- Receive job-based bespoke training from the start to become fully equipped for the role.
- Work within Technology, supporting digital infrastructure, critical data, transactions, and financial technology solutions.
- Explore areas including machine learning, generative AI, and FinTech alongside industry experts.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver scalable, maintainable, and performance-optimised software using industry-aligned languages, frameworks, and tools.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to define requirements and align solutions with business objectives.
- Participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing while promoting high standards of code quality.
- Apply secure coding practices to protect sensitive data and mitigate software vulnerabilities.
- Implement unit testing practices to support reliable, readable, and well-designed code.
Eligibility and Work Authorisation
- Have a strong degree or expected degree completed before June 2027, with a GPA of at least 3.2.
- Be able to code in at least one programming language.
- Barclays generally does not offer employment-based visa sponsorship unless the degree meets specified STEM requirements.
- The STEM sponsorship exception relates to enrolment in or graduation from a qualifying STEM field.
