About the role
A 10-week summer internship in Barclays’ Markets Trading business in Mexico City, offering hands-on exposure to financial markets, trading products, market analysis, and the trade lifecycle. Interns support traders and partner functions, contribute to research and process initiatives, and develop technical skills during their penultimate university year.
Responsibilities
- Monitor financial markets, economic developments, and relevant events to support trading activities and decision-making.
- Assist the trading desk with market research, data analysis, and day-to-day business activities.
- Support analysis of financial products, valuation methodologies, and market scenarios.
- Prepare market updates, client materials, and transaction-related information.
- Contribute to process, reporting, and market-analysis initiatives while collaborating with Trading, Sales, Operations, and Risk.
- Support trade booking, processing, data validation, amendments, reconciliations, broker confirmations, and end-of-day control checks.
Program Exposure
- Gain exposure to Barclays’ global businesses, products, services, financial markets, and the end-to-end trade lifecycle.
- Work closely with traders and key support functions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

- Work at Torre Mayor, Avenida Paseo de la Reforma 505, Mexico City.
