About the role
Join Barclays’ two-year Operations Explorer Program in Whippany, New Jersey, completing three eight-month rotations while building expertise in banking operations. You will support transaction processing, KYC, reconciliations, incident management, controls, and process improvement, using data and technology to deliver accurate service and inform operational decisions.
Responsibilities
- Perform KYC activities under Client Due Diligence and Anti-Money Laundering procedures.
- Monitor transaction flows, trade updates, and exception queues for accurate, timely system records.
- Address incident, problem, and change management issues to improve operational services.
- Support process improvements, best practices, and ideas that make systems and processes more effective.
- Support cleared derivatives operations, including daily fee reconciliations and customer or product processing.
- Provide operational insights, partner with stakeholders, and escalate policy or procedure breaches appropriately.
Program structure
- Complete a two-year Explorer Program designed to provide depth and breadth of experience.
- Undertake three eight-month, job-based rotations after initial bespoke training.
- Participate in training and development programs to build relevant skills and knowledge.
- Build operational expertise across activities supporting investment, corporate, and retail banking.
