About the role
A 10-week Barclays Compliance Analyst Summer Internship in New York offering hands-on experience across compliance risk management, regulatory advisory, data analysis, financial crime, conduct, surveillance, controls, and stakeholder training. Candidates graduating between December 2027 and June 2028 with a GPA of at least 3.2 are eligible.
Role and Responsibilities
- Support business adherence to Barclays’ Compliance risk management framework.
- Advise colleagues on regulations affecting specific products and services.
- Use data and analytics to monitor and influence the Compliance risk landscape.
- Develop insight into laws, rules, regulations, financial crime, and conduct.
- Train business stakeholders on relevant Compliance topics.
- Manage risk, strengthen controls, escalate policy breaches, and embed updated procedures.
Program Experience
- Work on real projects and gain hands-on experience during the 10-week summer internship.
- Receive full support while taking on meaningful responsibilities and building professional connections.
- Compliance work includes researching, investigating, analysing complex data, identifying risks, and evaluating threats.
- Potential activities include surveillance, control work, and product design and implementation.
Eligibility and Candidate Profile
- Graduate between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Achieve a minimum GPA of 3.2.
- Demonstrate genuine passion for Compliance and an enthusiastic mindset.
- Show a customer-first attitude, adaptability, and willingness to learn new technologies.
- Work with attention to detail and make decisions based on factual information.
Location and Work Authorization
- The internship is based at Barclays’ Americas Headquarters at 745 Seventh Avenue, New York.
- Any return offer to the graduate program will be based at the same internship location.
