About the role

Barclays’ 2027 Banking Associate Graduate Program in New York offers MBA candidates investment banking experience across mergers and acquisitions, industry, product, and geographic groups. After intensive training, associates contribute to live deals, client pitches, financial analysis, valuation, modelling, research, strategic assessments, business development, and stakeholder communications.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on live deals and client pitches, advising corporate clients and delivering structured solutions for their goals.
  • Perform financial analysis, modelling, valuation, industry research, business evaluation, and strategic assessment.
  • Support business development, idea generation, and development or launch of new investment banking products and services.
  • Manage client relationships, answer product and service questions, and process transactions with decreasing supervision.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to business initiatives, risk controls, and governance.
  • Communicate complex information and influence stakeholders to achieve outcomes.

Program and Training

  • Complete several weeks of intensive training at the start of the program.
  • Join an industry, product, or geographic group and begin working on live deals and business development projects.
  • Work in small deal teams with exposure to varied clients, transactions, and specialist areas.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance investment banking skills and knowledge.

Candidate Profile

  • The program is designed for recent graduates and soon-to-be graduates pursuing an MBA degree.
  • Applicants should have a keen interest in business and finance, together with curiosity to learn.
  • Resourcefulness, teamwork, enthusiasm, and an entrepreneurial spirit are valued.
  • Extracurricular involvement may demonstrate the qualities sought for the program.
  • A GPA of 3.2 or above is preferred.

Location and Compensation

  • The role is based at Barclays’ Americas Headquarters, 745 Seventh Avenue, in Times Square, Manhattan.
  • The stated salary is base salary only and excludes other compensation and benefits.
  • The role is regulated by FINRA.
