About the role
Join Barclays’ two-year Finance Analyst Explorer Program in New York, completing three eight-month rotations across finance. You will analyse financial performance, prepare management reporting, support forecasting and decision-making, and develop expertise through bespoke training. The program is designed for graduates starting their finance careers.
Responsibilities
- Analyse daily profit and loss for business units, researching performance impacts, trends, and insights.
- Prepare regular reports, scorecards, and presentations for senior management.
- Develop and implement financial models and strategies supporting business decision-making.
- Use workforce, portfolio, and other data to support financial analysis and strategic discussions.
- Participate in calls and meetings with fiscal stakeholders.
- Manage risks, strengthen controls, escalate policy breaches, and follow relevant regulations and codes of conduct.
Program Details
- Complete a two-year Explorer Program comprising three eight-month rotations.
- Receive bespoke, job-based training from the beginning of the program.
- Participate in ongoing training and development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Finance teams cover financial control, reporting, forecasting, product control, Treasury, and management information.
- Work in Barclays’ Americas Headquarters at 745 Seventh Avenue, New York.
Requirements
- Be a recent graduate or soon-to-be graduate completing a strong degree before June 2027.
- Achieve a minimum GPA of 3.2.
- Demonstrate understanding of financial concepts and markets.
- Finance or accounting majors are advantageous but not essential.
- Show resourcefulness, leadership, team spirit, entrepreneurial drive, and extracurricular involvement.
- Visa sponsorship is generally unavailable, except for qualifying STEM degree holders under the stated STEM OPT conditions.
