About the role
A 3–6-month off-cycle internship in Zurich for penultimate- or final-year students, offering exposure to Sales, Trading and Structuring. You’ll receive intensive training, work on desk-based projects, research markets, monitor market activity, analyze data, support clients and build skills relevant to a full-time analyst career.
Programme
- Complete intensive training before joining a desk assignment.
- Follow a structured programme featuring project-based work and deeper exposure than summer internships.
- Develop communication, quantitative and analytical skills through global-markets experience.
- Participate in training and development programmes to enhance relevant skills and knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Research industries or products and report summary information to your team.
- Monitor markets and help formulate trade ideas.
- Perform analyses using fundamental and technical data.
- Attend client meetings or calls with traders, salespeople and research colleagues.
- Execute research projects, prepare presentations and reports, and support strategic decision-making.
- Support product initiatives, client relationships, transactions, financial models and cross-functional business activities.
Markets Division
- Help institutional investors identify opportunities, manage risk and generate portfolio returns.
- Support market insights, execution services, financing solutions and tailored risk management for clients.
- Work in a fast-paced environment requiring rapid information processing and anticipation of market trends.
Location
- The internship is based in Zurich, Canton of Zurich.
- The Zurich office serves private clients and works closely with Barclays Investment Banking.
