About the role
Join Barclays’ Sales, Trading and Structuring Off-Cycle Internship in Frankfurt for three to six months. Receive intensive training, work on desk assignments and projects, and develop exposure to global markets. You may research products, monitor markets, analyse data, support trade ideas, and attend client meetings while building communication, quantitative and analytical skills.
Responsibilities
- Research industries or products and report summary information to the team.
- Monitor markets and help formulate trade ideas.
- Perform analyses using fundamental and technical data.
- Attend client meetings or calls with traders, salespeople and research colleagues.
- Execute research projects and prepare presentations and reports supporting strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support global markets business initiatives.
Training and Development
- Complete intensive training at the beginning of the internship to build essential skills and knowledge.
- Follow a structured programme featuring desk assignments and project-based work.
- Gain more in-depth project exposure than through Barclays’ summer internships.
- Participate in training and development programmes to enhance skills and knowledge.
Markets Environment
- Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment focused on global markets and evolving market trends.
- Support teams providing market insights, execution services, risk management and financing solutions.
- Build understanding of markets while developing communication, quantitative and analytical capabilities.
Requirements
- Be in the penultimate or final year of a degree in any discipline.
- Demonstrate fluent English and German language skills.
- Show interest in business or finance and curiosity to learn.
- Resourcefulness, teamwork, enthusiasm and an entrepreneurial spirit are valued.
- Extracurricular involvement may demonstrate relevant personal qualities.
