About the role
Join Barclays’ Frankfurt Investment Banking Off-Cycle Internship for three to six months, working on live deals, client pitches, financial analysis, valuation, industry research, due diligence, modelling and written materials. Gain exposure to corporate clients, transactions, sectors and products while participating in training and networking opportunities and developing insight into full-time Analyst work.
Role and Responsibilities
- Participate in the day-to-day activities of the Investment Banking division across clients, transactions and specialist areas.
- Collaborate on live deals and client pitches supporting advice for corporate clients and structured solutions.
- Conduct financial analysis, modelling, valuation, industry research and client due diligence.
- Develop written materials, including offering memoranda and new business presentations.
- Support cross-functional initiatives and identify opportunities for new investment banking products and services.
- Assist with client relationships, transaction processing and responses to product and service questions.
Programme Experience
- Work within one Banking team for an extended period, with greater project exposure than a summer internship.
- Gain exposure to different sectors, products and areas across the Investment Bank.
- Participate in training and development programmes to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Receive support and networking opportunities while learning from experienced industry professionals.
- Develop financial models and strategies supporting investment banking decision-making.
Requirements
- Be in the penultimate or final year of a degree in any discipline.
- Demonstrate fluent English and German language skills.
- Show an interest in business and finance, together with curiosity to learn.
- Resourcefulness, teamwork, enthusiasm and an entrepreneurial spirit are valued.
- Extracurricular activities may demonstrate relevant personal qualities and experience.
