About the role
A 3–6-month Amsterdam internship within Barclays’ International Corporate Banking division. You will support client relationships, lending, trade finance, cash management and treasury solutions while developing financial modelling, credit analysis, deal execution and client-management skills through structured learning and mentorship.
Responsibilities
- Support relationship teams with client queries, onboarding, proposals and treasury solution development.
- Help identify and manage opportunities across International Corporate Banking products and services.
- Prepare meeting materials, research sector themes and collaborate with Investment Bank teams.
- Support credit analysis, financial modelling, internal committees and documentation for debt and treasury facilities.
- Contribute to new product initiatives, business cases and sustainability- and growth-aligned solutions.
- Embed risk controls, follow policies and escalate breaches appropriately.
Programme And Team
- Work with senior bankers in a fast-paced, collaborative International Corporate Banking environment.
- Gain exposure to lending, trade finance, cash management, liquidity, digital banking and hedging solutions.
- Participate in structured learning covering credit skills, client management and treasury coverage products.
- Learn about financial modelling, credit skills, CIB products, FX, DCM and Barclaycard.
- Develop understanding of the end-to-end deal process, execution and client-management skills.
- The Amsterdam office is based in the Zuidas business district.
Requirements
- Be in the penultimate or final year of a degree in any discipline.
- Demonstrate an interest in business and finance, alongside curiosity to learn.
- Show resourcefulness, teamwork, enthusiasm and an entrepreneurial spirit.
