About the role
Join Barclays’ International Corporate Banking Graduate Programme in Madrid, supporting senior bankers and client relationships across lending, trade finance, cash management, liquidity, digital banking and hedging. The role combines transactional support, credit analysis, financial modelling, deal execution and product development, with structured learning, mentorship and exposure to global clients.
Responsibilities
- Support Relationship Teams with client queries, onboarding, and proposals for cash management, trade finance, and lending solutions.
- Work with senior bankers to identify and manage Global Treasury Coverage opportunities.
- Prepare meeting materials and research sector-specific themes, collaborating across Investment Bank teams.
- Support end-to-end deal execution, including credit analysis, financial modelling, committees and documentation for debt facilities and treasury solutions.
- Identify product and service opportunities, contribute to business cases, and help launch initiatives aligned with sustainability and growth.
- Embed risk controls, follow policies, and escalate breaches appropriately.
Training and development
- Complete structured learning covering credit skills, client management, treasury coverage products, and corporate and investment banking solutions.
- Develop financial modelling, deal execution, product knowledge, and client management skills through practical experience.
- Receive support from a manager, coach, buddy, experienced colleagues, and ongoing feedback.
International Corporate Banking
- The division provides lending, trade finance, cash management, liquidity, digital banking, and hedging solutions.
- Product exposure may include foreign exchange, debt capital markets, and Barclaycard solutions.
- The role involves global clients, senior bankers, and collaboration across the Investment Bank.
