About the role
Graduate role in Barclays’ Global Transaction Banking division, based in Dublin. The programme covers payment solutions, product management, research, client support, transaction processing, risk controls and new product launches. Graduates work with cross-functional teams and corporate banking stakeholders while building transaction banking knowledge through training and practical experience.
Programme Focus
- Learn the importance of payment products within Barclays’ Corporate Banking offering.
- Develop payment solutions for global companies through end-to-end product management and risk controls.
- Build knowledge across cash management, liquidity, trade, technology, data, sales, operations and control.
- Support clients including corporates, financial institutions, payment service providers and small and medium-sized enterprises.
- Gain insight into global commerce and how financial solutions support corporate value chains.
Responsibilities
- Conduct small research projects supporting strategic decisions and transaction banking initiatives.
- Prepare presentations and reports communicating research findings to senior colleagues and stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities, develop business cases, and support new product deployment and launches.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on business initiatives and product development.
- Manage client relationships, answer product and service questions, provide customer support, and process transactions.
- Apply risk controls, escalate policy breaches, and support continuous improvement in assigned activities.
Development And Location
- Participate in training and development programmes to enhance transaction banking skills and knowledge.
- Work with colleagues across corporate banking, investment banking, sales, operations, technology, compliance and legal.
- Build networks with transaction banking experts, clients and financial institutions in a global environment.
- Be based at Barclays’ One Molesworth Street office in Dublin city centre.
