About the role
Join Barclays in Tokyo’s two-year Operations Analyst Graduate Programme, beginning with five weeks of intensive training. Join Global Markets Operations or Payments, supporting transaction processing, controls, reconciliations, service improvements, and banking operations while building technical expertise and contributing from the outset.
Programme Structure
- Complete a two-year rotational programme designed to provide broad and in-depth Operations experience.
- Join either the Global Markets Operations group or the Payments team.
- Participate in training and development programmes to enhance skills and knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day Operations, providing insights and expertise for decisions, products, services, and market opportunities.
- Perform KYC tasks under Client Due Diligence and Anti-Money Laundering procedures.
- Monitor real-time transaction flows, trade updates, and exception queues across systems.
- Address incident, problem, and change-management issues to improve bank services.
- Support process improvements, best-practice development, and operational systems enhancements.
- Support cleared derivatives, reconcile related fees daily, and process complex customer and product activities.

- Translate complex data into understandable insights and communicate effectively with different stakeholders.
- Perform activities accurately and consistently while taking responsibility for risk management and controls.
