About the role
This internship offers training in compliance risk management, focusing on regulatory adherence, data governance, and advisory services within a financial institution. Interns will gain hands-on experience supporting compliance functions and enhancing risk controls.
Role and Responsibilities
- Learn firm policies and identify potential regulatory breaches, recommending solutions.
- Respond to colleague queries on compliance obligations and assist within policy frameworks.
- Enhance exception reports and support development of compliance tools and procedures.
- Understand compliance oversight activities and identify opportunities using data insights.
- Identify and escalate data governance and quality issues to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with product teams on lifecycle, testing, training, and improvements.
Additional Responsibilities
- Support enterprise-wide regulatory consultations on AI, ML, fairness, bias, and data privacy.
- Guide business adherence to compliance risk management frameworks.
- Advise colleagues on regulations related to products and services.
- Use data analytics to monitor and influence compliance risk landscape.
- Develop compliance risk insights including laws, financial crime, and conduct.
- Train business stakeholders on compliance matters.
