Global Technology, Technology Infrastructure 12 Month Industrial Placement 2027 Analyst - Chester

About the role

A 12-month industrial placement in Bank of America’s Global Technology Infrastructure organisation in Chester. The analyst will support critical infrastructure, cloud, networks, mainframes, or technology service delivery. Training, mentorship, certifications, and project exposure are provided. The placement requires UK work authorisation and an integrated academic year.

Programme Areas

• Hosting, application and database services, including infrastructure capacity planning, operations, storage and database management.
• Network services, including internal and external network management and service assurance.
• Business operations, including business management, financial management and project management.
• Datacentre services, portfolio management and infrastructure project delivery.
• Mainframe services, engineering and operations.

Responsibilities

• Support servers, storage, databases and datacentres alongside experienced infrastructure engineers.
• Support secure, reliable cloud solutions, infrastructure operations, automation and security activities.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and help maintain large-scale enterprise networks and their performance.
• Support mainframe automation, monitoring, reliability, performance and platform modernisation activities.
• Assist with project planning, reporting, stakeholder engagement, budgeting and operational performance activities.

Training And Development

• Complete extensive formal training at the beginning of the 12-month programme.
• Receive on-the-job support, educational speaker events and mentorship throughout the placement.
• Potential courses and certifications include Agile, Azure and CCNA.

Eligibility And Progression

• Must have UK work authorisation; visa sponsorship is unavailable for this role.
• Must pursue a bachelor’s or master’s degree, completing all requirements between September 2028 and July 2029.
• Must be on track for at least a 2:1 degree classification or equivalent.
• Must have a 12-month placement embedded in the academic curriculum and join full-time in June 2027.
• Strong performers may receive full-time employment from July 2029, or potentially January or April 2030.
