About the role

Ten-week London internship within Leasing Credit, aligned to Global Vendor Finance or International Asset Finance. You will assess counterparty and transaction credit risk, support underwriting and monitoring, prepare credit documentation, present recommendations, and gain exposure to structured asset finance and Global Leasing.

Responsibilities

  • Perform qualitative and quantitative credit analysis to assess counterparty credit risk.
  • Prepare credit memoranda and risk-rating scorecards for new and existing clients.
  • Present written and verbal recommendations to senior colleagues.
  • Evaluate transaction structures, risks, and potential mitigating factors.
  • Support in-flight projects and initiatives within the Enterprise Credit mandate.
  • Monitor existing transactions, including financial statements, covenants, risk ratings, and periodic reviews.

Team and Exposure

  • Global Vendor Finance evaluates and underwrites new end-user credit opportunities.
  • International Asset Finance underwrites and structures facilities across shipping, rail, and other land transport sectors.
  • Gain exposure to asset finance transactions ranging from $5 million to more than $100 million.
  • Learn about Global Leasing business units in EMEA and the Equipment Management group.

Eligibility

  • Pursue a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree at an accredited college or university.
  • Complete all exams, coursework, and graduation requirements between September 2027 and July 2028.
  • Be on track for at least a 2:1 degree classification or equivalent.
  • Be available to join the programme between June and August 2027.

Skills

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills; fluency in English is essential.
  • Interest in financial markets and an inquisitive approach.
  • Ability to collaborate, work independently, multitask, and make decisions with minimal guidance.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a results-oriented approach.
  • Moderate proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
