About the role

Four-month London off-cycle analyst internship in Bank of America’s Financial Sponsors Group. The role provides exposure to financial sponsors, portfolio companies, M&A, Leveraged Finance and ECM, with responsibilities spanning financial analysis, client presentations, transaction execution and relationship development.

Team and Exposure

  • Work with an EMEA team covering more than 100 financial sponsors and approximately 2,000 portfolio companies.
  • Gain experience across Traditional Buyouts, Growth Equity, Infrastructure Funds, Sovereign Wealth Funds and Pension Funds.
  • Develop technical skills through modelling, live deal execution and client exposure across multiple investment banking products.

Responsibilities

  • Support bankers across industry, product and country coverage groups on client projects.
  • Help deliver client solutions by leveraging the bank’s capabilities.
  • Prepare client presentations and supporting financial analysis.
  • Participate in transaction execution with clients, investment banks and other advisors.
  • Build relationships, knowledge and experience supporting future career opportunities.

Training and Development

  • Complete extensive formal training at the start of the programme.
  • Receive on-the-job support, educational speaker events and mentorship throughout the programme.

Eligibility and Skills

  • Already hold or be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Graduates must have graduated after January 2026; current students must complete degrees before July 2027.
  • Be on track for a minimum 2:1 degree classification or equivalent.
  • Demonstrate drive, innovation, financial-market interest, analytical ability and commercial acumen.
  • Show teamwork, leadership, creativity, communication, interpersonal, problem-solving and multitasking skills.
  • Demonstrate integrity, honesty and professionalism in all interactions.
