About the role
Graduate software engineering analyst role in Bank of America’s Global Technology team in Bromley. You will design, develop, test, and maintain applications, work with technical and business colleagues globally, and use technologies including Java, C++, .NET, Python, web services, and AI-assisted development tools.
The Team
- Global Technology designs, develops, and supports applications serving the Bank’s products and services across more than 30 countries.
- Teams collaborate with technical and business colleagues to deliver scalable, performant systems aligned with strategic goals.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain technology applications using Java, C++, .NET, Python, web services, and AI-assisted development tools.
- Evaluate and promote responsible AI use across development while following security, privacy, risk, and governance standards.
- Translate client requirements into technical design specifications and support business process reengineering.
- Write code, complete unit tests, and ensure robust integration with overall applications and systems.
- Contribute to CI/CD delivery activities, including pull requests, issue triage, conflict resolution, documentation, and release notes.
Training And Development
- Begin with a comprehensive induction and extensive formal training at the start of the programme.
- Receive ongoing on-the-job support, educational speaker events, mentorship, and a structured learning curriculum.
- Curriculum covers technical skills, business acumen, financial skills, and soft skills through instructor-led, virtual, and e-learning formats.
Eligibility
- Pursue a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, completing all requirements between September 2026 and July 2027.
- Be on track for a minimum 2:1 degree classification or equivalent.
- Be available to join the programme from July 2027.
- Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
- Visa sponsorship is available for roles in Bromley; sponsorship is unavailable for roles in Chester.

- Show self-learning outside studies and evidence of advancing technical skills.
- Demonstrate motivation for a technology career in financial services, innovative thinking, and strong problem-solving ability.
- Communicate effectively, work well with varied people, and demonstrate teamwork, leadership, integrity, and professionalism.
- Knowledge of React, Angular, .NET, Python, Java, Oracle, or Microsoft SQL Server is desirable.
- Knowledge of CI/CD delivery processes and the software development cycle is desirable.
