About the role

Join Bank of America’s Global Information Security team in Chester for a 12-month industrial placement as a Technology Analyst. You will contribute to cybersecurity solutions, incident and event management, security monitoring, vulnerability management, and remediation metrics, supported by formal training, mentorship, speaker events, and on-the-job development.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, implement, and use cybersecurity solutions that help reduce information security risk.
  • Research, detect, measure, respond to, and mitigate attacks targeting network and application layers.
  • Support global incident management and event management processes across the cybersecurity function.
  • Contribute to information security strategy, policy, vulnerability management, monitoring, and incident response.
  • Produce metrics tracking remediation activities and support innovative capabilities within a team environment.
  • Apply analytical, strategic, and technical skills to problems of moderate scope and identifiable factors.

Programme and Development

  • Work full time for 12 months, fully integrating into one Global Information Security team.
  • Receive extensive formal training at the start of the programme and ongoing on-the-job support.
  • Participate in educational speaker events and receive mentorship throughout the placement.
  • Strong performers may receive an offer for full-time employment commencing in July 2029.

Eligibility

  • Pursue a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree at an accredited university, completing between September 2028 and July 2029.
  • Be on track for a minimum 2:1 degree classification or equivalent.
  • Have a 12-month placement included in your academic curriculum and join in June 2027.
  • Be available for full-time work throughout the entire 12-month programme without date adjustments.
  • Have the right to work in the UK; visa sponsorship is unavailable for this role.
