About the role
This 10-week London summer internship offers exposure to Global Risk Management and seven risk disciplines. Analysts contribute to real business challenges, support risk initiatives, and develop analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills through formal training, project work, speaker events, and mentorship.
The Team
- Global Risk Management provides independent risk management and oversees the company’s risk governance and strategy.
- Analysts support teams across Strategic, Market, Credit, Compliance, Liquidity, Operational, and Reputational Risk.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Risk Managers to assess and manage exposures arising from business activities under the Risk Framework.
- Support the development and enhancement of risk management policies, controls, and frameworks.
- Develop emerging risk assessments, scenario analysis, and risk modelling where applicable.
- Support and manage risk management projects and strategic initiatives.
- Support regulatory initiatives and policy implementation while assessing regulatory developments’ potential impact.
- Help embed effective risk management into decision-making and contribute to Responsible Growth.
Training and Progression
- Complete formal training at the start of the programme, supplemented by on-the-job learning.
- Participate in speaker events, mentorship opportunities, cross-bank collaboration, and exposure to senior leaders.
- Successful interns may receive full-time employment offers commencing in July 2028, with some January or April starts available.
