About the role

Join Bank of America’s Global Research Summer Analyst programme in London and gain experience within an industry, country or product coverage team. You will support research across Equity, Credit, Macro Economic Research, or Investment and Derivatives Strategy, developing market insight through formal training, mentorship and on-the-job support.

About the Team

  • Global Research supports institutional clients worldwide and works closely with institutional sales and trading teams.
  • Research analysts provide objective, insightful and decisive research to inform clients’ investment decisions.
  • Coverage includes Equity, Credit, Macro Economic Research, and Investment and Derivatives Strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Gain insight into industry sectors, tradable financial instruments and financial structures.
  • Build confidence to question and challenge senior managers of companies within your sector coverage.
  • Understand diverse client investment needs and provide bespoke recommendations and solutions.

Training and Development

  • Complete extensive formal training at the start of the programme.
  • Receive on-the-job support throughout the internship.
  • Attend educational speaker events and receive mentorship.

Eligibility and Skills

  • Pursue a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree at an accredited college or university.
  • Complete all final exams, coursework and graduation requirements between September 2027 and July 2028.
  • Be on track for a minimum 2:1 degree classification or equivalent.
  • Demonstrate financial-markets interest, drive, innovation, analytical ability and problem-solving skills.
  • Show teamwork, leadership, creativity, accountability, productivity and the ability to work in fast-paced environments.
  • Communicate effectively, influence outcomes, build cooperation, and demonstrate integrity and professionalism.

Recruitment and Progression

  • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and assessments may begin before the application deadline.
  • Strong internship performance may lead to full-time employment starting in July 2028, January or April.
  • Candidates must be available for the offered start date; deferrals are not available.
