Global Quantitative Data Analytics, Summer 2027 Analyst - London

About the role

Ten-week Summer Analyst internship in Bank of America’s Global Risk Management team, supporting quantitative analysis, data and model-related activities. Based in London, you will contribute to risk identification, measurement, monitoring and decision-making through projects involving data analysis, model lifecycle activities, stress testing, scenario analysis or reporting, while developing analytical judgement and stakeholder communication.

Team and Programme

• Join Global Risk Management, providing independent second-line oversight of enterprise risk-taking activities.
• Gain exposure to quantitative analysis, data and model-related activities supporting effective risk management.
• Work on real business challenges while developing analytical judgement, problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills.
• Collaborate with Risk Managers, quantitative specialists, technology partners and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data, models, methodologies or risk processes to inform business and risk management decisions.
• Apply quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills to projects aligned with your assigned team.
• Interpret data, trends and model outputs, communicating findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Support model lifecycle activities, including development, validation, implementation, monitoring, documentation or model use.
• Conduct research using internal or external information for risk assessments, scenario analysis, reporting or governance.
• Contribute to process improvements, documentation, controls and analytical tools that improve team effectiveness.

Training and Development

• Complete formal training at the start of the programme.
• Develop through on-the-job learning, speaker events and mentorship opportunities.
• Build relationships across Global Risk through project work, networking and development activities.

Eligibility and Progression

• Pursue a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with completion expected between September 2027 and July 2028.
• Be on track for a minimum 2:1 degree classification or equivalent.
• Be available to join the programme from June 2027 through August 2027.
• High-performing interns may receive full-time offers commencing July 2028, with some January or April starts possible.
• Successful candidates must be available for the offered start date; deferrals are not available.
