About the role
This London Summer Analyst internship places candidates within Bank of America’s Global Operations team, supporting operational activities across financial products and client transactions. Work may include trade lifecycle processing, settlement, reconciliations, data analysis, controls, reporting, process improvement and project delivery. Successful interns may receive a full-time employment offer.
Team and Programme
- Global Operations supports systems, platforms and end-to-end processes for products, services and client transactions.
- The programme may align interns to Global Markets Operations based on interests, development opportunities and business needs.
- Global Markets Operations supports sales, trading and underwriting across securities, loans and derivative products.
- The internship runs in London from June 2027 to August 2027.
Responsibilities
- Develop understanding of client, account and product reference data management processes.
- Support settlement, clearing and reconciliation activities across products and services.
- Learn trade lifecycle processes, including validation, maintenance, exception management and reconciliation.
- Analyse data, identify trends and contribute to insights, process reviews and operational excellence initiatives.
- Develop understanding of risk management, controls, governance and regulatory requirements.
- Support projects, business analysis, stakeholder engagement, reporting, dashboards and presentations.
Training and Development
- Receive extensive formal training at the start of the programme and on-the-job training.
- Participate in virtual spotlight sessions, executive speaker events, networking, hands-on projects and mentorship.
Eligibility
- Pursue a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree at an accredited institution, completing between September 2027 and July 2028.
- Be on track for at least a 2:2 degree classification or equivalent.
- Be available to join the programme from June 2027 through August 2027.
- If offered full-time employment, be available for a July 2028, January or April start without deferral.

- Demonstrate analytical, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, including constructive challenge of existing processes.
- Communicate effectively and build relationships with people across different teams and levels.
- Show teamwork, leadership, integrity, professionalism and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
