About the role

Bank of America’s Global Markets Summer Analyst programme offers three rotations across Sales, Trading, Structuring, and Platform & Electronic Trading. Based in London, interns gain exposure to FICC and Equities, receive formal training and mentorship, and support client, trading, analytical, structuring, and electronic-trading projects in a fast-paced environment.

Programme Structure

  • Complete three rotations during the internship across Sales, Trading, Structuring, Platform and Electronic Trading.
  • Gain exposure to products across FICC, including Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities, and Equities.
  • Receive support from managers, buddies, mentors and Global Markets colleagues throughout the programme.
  • Participate in formal training, on-the-job support, educational speaker events and mentorship.

Responsibilities

  • Support sales teams with client relationship management, marketing materials, presentations, leads and analytical projects.
  • Support traders through market analysis, trade execution activities, mock trading and exposure to risk management and market making.
  • Assist structurers, traders and sales teams with pitchbooks, client solutions, pricing and front-to-back transaction activities.
  • Analyse macroeconomic, market, company and industry events to develop solutions for institutional clients.
  • Support electronic-trading projects involving workflow automation, pricing, risk-recycling tools, optimisation algorithms and market-trend analysis.
  • Build a prototype application using programming skills and present insights from client and trading data to leadership.

Progression and Recruitment

  • Successful interns may receive full-time employment offers starting in July 2028; some businesses may offer January or April starts.
  • Candidates must be available for an offered start date, as deferrals are unavailable.
  • Recruitment takes place on a rolling basis once applications open, and assessments may begin before the deadline.
