About the role

Join Bank of America’s Quantitative Strategies and Data Group in Paris as an off-cycle associate. You will apply quantitative finance, programming, statistical, machine learning, and AI techniques to pricing, risk, trading strategies, electronic execution, and market data problems supporting Global Markets sales and trading teams.

Team and Programme

  • QSDG uses models, data, and analytics to develop solutions for Global Markets sales and trading teams.
  • The off-cycle internship provides practical experience solving quantitative problems in a fast-moving trading environment.
  • Formal training, on-the-job support, educational speaker events, and mentorship are provided throughout the programme.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance pricing, risk, and analytics models for complex derivative products.
  • Apply statistical, machine learning, and AI techniques to market, client, and trading performance datasets.
  • Research, design, and implement quantitative trading signals and strategies with traders.
  • Build tools and frameworks improving trading efficiency, risk management, and profitability.
  • Develop and optimise electronic trading algorithms for execution and market-making workflows.
  • Use modern AI technologies and agentic workflows to automate research and accelerate model development.

Recruitment and Progression

  • Recruitment takes place on a rolling basis once applications open, and assessments may begin before the deadline.
  • Successful interns may receive full-time employment offers commencing in July 2028.
  • January or April 2028 start dates may be available for some business lines; deferrals are not offered.
