About the role

Off-cycle analyst internship in Bank of America’s Global Corporate Banking Iberia coverage team, based in Madrid. You will support relationship management, financing and treasury solutions for Spanish and Portuguese clients, develop credit and financial analysis skills, contribute to live transactions, and work alongside Investment Banking, Capital Markets and Global Transaction Services teams.

The Team and Programme

  • Global Corporate Banking manages relationships with large global corporations and originates financing, treasury and risk management solutions.
  • The internship is based in Madrid within the Iberia coverage team, serving Spanish and Portuguese clients across industries.
  • The programme provides experience comparable to a full-time Corporate Banking analyst role.

Responsibilities

  • Support relationship management, origination and execution across lending, bonds, foreign exchange, derivatives, cash management and leasing.
  • Understand clients, their industries and how banking solutions support growth aspirations and daily requirements.
  • Prepare financial models, analytical presentations and client-specific analysis covering capital structures and acquisition finance.
  • Support analysis, due diligence and memoranda for internal business, credit and compliance approvals.
  • Develop credit analysis expertise, including metrics used to price and structure debt instruments and related legal documentation.
  • Contribute to live transactions, client interactions, cross-selling ideas and collaboration with Investment Banking, Capital Markets and Transaction Services.

Training and Development

  • Complete extensive formal training at the programme’s start, supported by on-the-job learning, speaker events and mentorship.
