Global Capital Markets 2027, Off-Cycle Analyst (Leveraged Finance) – London

About the role

Four-month London off-cycle internship in Bank of America’s Leveraged Finance team, supporting debt financing for corporate and private equity clients. Analysts help originate and execute leveraged loans, high-yield bonds and related solutions, work on live transactions, and collaborate with clients, investors, product specialists and Investment Banking teams.

Role and team

• Join Leveraged Finance within Global Capital Markets in London.
• Support financing solutions for corporate clients, private equity firms and other market participants.
• Work on bonds and loans supporting M&A, LBOs, take-privates, dividend recapitalisations and refinancing.

Responsibilities

• Originate and execute non-investment-grade debt transactions for private equity and corporate clients.
• Develop understanding of credit and market fundamentals across financing structures.
• Design tailored client presentations outlining appropriate financing solutions.
• Interact with clients, investors and product specialists during transaction execution.
• Gain direct exposure to live transactions involving financial sponsors, corporates and investors.
• Collaborate with Investment Banking industry teams on transactions and origination efforts.

Training and development

• Receive extensive formal training at the programme’s start.
• Benefit from on-the-job support, educational speaker events and mentorship throughout the programme.

Eligibility and skills

• Hold or pursue a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Graduates must have graduated after January 2026; current students must complete their degree before July 2027.
• Be on track for a minimum 2:1 degree classification or equivalent.
• Demonstrate financial-markets interest, analytical ability, problem-solving, teamwork and effective communication.
• Use Microsoft Office applications competently, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Demonstrate drive, innovation, integrity, professionalism and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Programme details and recruitment

• Available to start Monday, 11 January 2027, for four months, with a possible two-month extension.
• Successful full-time candidates must be available to join the graduate programme from July 2027.
• Recruitment is rolling after applications open; assessments may begin before the application deadline.
