About the role

The GCIB Credit Summer Analyst internship in Paris offers practical experience assessing counterparty credit risk across Corporate, Financial Institutions, or Leveraged Finance teams. Interns complete credit analysis, prepare risk documentation, present recommendations, and support Enterprise Credit initiatives while receiving formal training, mentorship, and on-the-job development.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative credit analysis to assess counterparty credit risk.
  • Prepare detailed credit memos and risk-rating scorecards for new and existing clients.
  • Present recommendations to senior colleagues in written and verbal formats.
  • Support in-flight projects and initiatives aligned with the Enterprise Credit mandate.

Programme And Training

  • Work on the desk and complete actual deliverables that add tangible value to the department.
  • Receive extensive formal training at the start of the programme.
  • Benefit from on-the-job support, educational speaker events, and mentorship throughout the internship.

Eligibility

  • Pursue a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree at an accredited college or university.
  • Complete all graduation requirements between September 2027 and July 2028.
  • Be available to join the programme from June through August 2027.
  • Be on track for a minimum 2:1 degree classification or equivalent.
