About the role

Bank of America's GCIB Credit Summer Analyst programme in London provides experience as a credit analyst. Interns join Corporate, Financial Institutions, or Leveraged Finance teams, perform credit analysis, prepare credit documentation and recommendations, and support Enterprise Credit projects while receiving formal training, mentorship, and on-the-job development.

Responsibilities

• Perform qualitative and quantitative credit analysis to assess counterparties’ credit risk.
• Prepare detailed credit memoranda and risk-rating scorecards for new and existing clients.
• Present recommendations to senior colleagues in written and verbal formats.
• Support in-flight projects and initiatives aligned with the Enterprise Credit mandate.

Training and Development

• Complete extensive formal training at the start of the programme.
• Receive on-the-job support, educational speaker events, and mentorship throughout the internship.

Programme Structure

• Align with a Corporate, Financial Institutions, or Leveraged Finance credit team.
• Work on the desk, completing actual deliverables and adding tangible value to the department.
