About the role
Join Bank of America’s EMEA Corporate Audit team in Chester for a 10-week Summer 2027 Analyst internship. Develop audit, business and risk skills, test processes and controls, write risk-focused conclusions, complete a group project, and receive formal training, mentorship and exposure to senior leaders.
The Team
- Join an approximately 100-person EMEA Corporate Audit team across London, Dublin, Chester, Paris and Istanbul.
- Corporate Audit independently assesses controls, validates risk management activities, and reports findings to management and the Audit Committee.
Responsibilities
- Develop core skills in audit practices, methodology and business expertise.
- Support planned audit coverage by testing key processes and controls across the company.
- Write risk-focused conclusions explaining audit results to senior management.
- Build knowledge of bank products, supporting control functions, and the risk and control framework.
- Complete a group project focused on a current or emerging risk topic.
Training and Development
- Receive extensive formal training at the programme’s start, alongside on-the-job support and educational speaker events.
- Take part in mentorship, philanthropic volunteer activities, and opportunities to engage with senior leaders.
- Build technical skills, industry knowledge, corporate experience and understanding of the auditing profession.
Eligibility and Selection Criteria
- Pursue a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, completing all requirements between September 2027 and July 2028.
- Be on track for at least a 2:1 degree classification or equivalent.
- Have UK work authorisation for Chester; visa sponsorship is unavailable, and be available June–August 2027.
- Demonstrate self-learning, technical development, audit motivation, problem-solving, communication, teamwork, leadership and critical-thinking skills.
- Show integrity, ethical conduct, sound judgement, professionalism, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Recruitment
- Applications and assessments run on a rolling basis once applications open; assessments may begin before the deadline.
- Strong interns may receive full-time offers starting July 2028, with some January or April start dates available; deferrals are unavailable.
