About the role
A 10-week summer internship within Bank of America’s Chief People Organisation in Chester. Interns rotate across people functions, contribute to talent and workplace initiatives, and receive formal training, mentorship and on-the-job support. Strong performers may be considered for full-time employment beginning in July 2028 or other stated start dates.
Team and Programme
- The Chief People Organisation partners strategically with bank divisions to support employees and workplace initiatives.
- Functions include Talent Acquisition, Learning, Opportunity & Inclusion, Compensation & Benefits, Employee Relations and Corporate Communications.
- Interns rotate through selected functions and work on varied projects during the 10-week summer programme.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate on projects supporting Chief People Organisation strategies and initiatives.
- Support initiatives across Benefits, Opportunity & Inclusion, Talent, Learning and Corporate Communications.
- Work with recruitment professionals on hiring initiatives, employer branding and talent attraction and retention projects.
- Contribute to operational excellence, regulatory compliance and continuous improvement projects.
Training and Development
- Complete extensive formal training at the beginning of the programme.
- Receive on-the-job support, educational speaker events and mentorship throughout the internship.
Eligibility
- Pursue a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree at an accredited college or university.
- Complete all final exams, coursework and graduation requirements between September 2027 and July 2028.
- Be on track for at least a 2:1 degree classification or equivalent.
- Have UK right-to-work status; visa sponsorship is unavailable for this Chester role.
- Be available from June 2027 through August 2027.
- Be available for potential full-time employment starting July 2028, January or April; deferrals are unavailable.
